About

On November 12, Tulsans will vote on the $639 million Improve Our Tulsa capital improvements package to fund much-needed improvements to Tulsa’s basic infrastructure.

If approved, it would run 6½ years and require no tax increases. The Improve Our Tulsa package is a continuation of the $918.7 million Improve Our Tulsa program voters approved in 2013.

The Improve Our Tulsa proposals on this year’s ballot represent two years of planning and more than eight public meetings as well as extensive resident input to determine together – as a City – the projects Tulsans felt were most important.

Improve Our Tulsa consists of three separate proposals that will be on the November 12 ballot.

  1. The first ballot proposal includes funding for identified City streets and transportation systems.
  2. The second ballot proposal would fund capital projects within the city, including public facility repairs, parks improvements, public safety and vehicle replacements, among other capital needs.
  3. The third ballot proposal would create a standing Rainy Day fund allocation, which could be used in the event of an economic recession.
